Born 10/16/04, Trek is an outgoing, lively, athletic and creative representative of the Papillon breed.     Trek began early showing he was destined to be a superstar and earned 8 titles across three agility venues before his 2nd birthday, namely, CPE, UKC, and NADAC.  Trek is the first 'Toy' dog to join the Roo Doo's crew, and has taught us all that great things come in little packages.  Papillons are commonly referred to as the "Border Collies of the Toy World", Trek is no exception to this.  In fact, he is proof positive that as member of the Papillon breed - he shares many of the highly sought after traits those of us in performance dog sports hold in high regard.  He is exceptionally intelligent, biddable, and possesses a drive that rivals his Border Collie 'pack' members in the house.
While it needs to be noted that this young dog is still 'learning the ropes' in performance dog sports, at such a young age, he is already proving himself to be an up an comer and an avid canine fan of dog sports like agility.
Beyond his 'super star' potential, Trek's most endearing quality without doubt is his 'little brother' status within the house.  As it implies, 'little brother', is always finding new mischief and has a sense of humor and love of play in everything he does from chasing his favorite toys to taunting his Border Collie brother and sister into a game of "you can't catch me".

May 28, 2008 Update - Trek and I attended our first Specialty Event in April 2008.  We ventured to Fredrick, Maryland to participate in the 2008 National Papillon Specialty.  We earned a 1st Place in Open Standard, a 2nd Place in the Open Fast Class and a 2nd Place in Novice Rally.  It was a rough trip - but it was an education.  We are counting the days until the 2009 Specialty!  Below are a few pics from the trip.
